Simon and Andy visit Dian! 12/4/00 Greetings to everyone from North Carolina. Andy and I arrived fine. We are having a great time. We went with Aunt Dian and Uncle Bob to pick out a Christmas tree. Then we got to decorate it. During this process we heard Uncle Bob say some words that Aunt Dian told us to never repeat. It had something to do with a new tree stand that kept falling over. We then got to watch a VERY IMPORTANT football game. It was the University of Oklahoma and Kansas State. Aunt Dian's dad went to OU and announced their football games when he was a student there. Aunt Dian could sing the fight song at age 2. As you can imagine she was very excited about the outcome. She and Uncle Bob are going to Miami in January for the game. As you can imagine we are VERY EXCITED about tomorrow. We are having two parties. One in each school. We will have cake and ice cream and special bear treats. Some of Aunt Dian's bear friends will be invited to the party. Before we leave here we are having our picture taken with Santa Claus. We will have extras made to send to Mom and also put in our picture book. Everyone send me Birthday Cards tomorrow. Love to all Simon ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ 12/5/00 Thanks to all the Aunts for the birthday greetings. I have had a great day...two cakes and ice cream. More kids than you can imagine. Aunt Dian gave me a book. She gave Simon a little wagon so he would not be jealous. The best was this!!!! Aunt Dian's school donated $100.00 to the Burke P. Bear Million Dollar Bear Campaign in honor of my birthday. Isn't that great! Aunt DIan's Burke is very nice. We are sharing a bed, so we have had lots of nice chats. He is so happy that so many people are raising money for the Million Dollar Bear Campaign. Aunt Dian was really said Saturday when Gary announced he was retiring. Simon and I didn't know what retiring meant, but when Aunt Dian explained it we were sad too. Have to go. Andy are I are having fun in North Carolina. Today we got to see Santa Claus. We got our picture taken. Aunt Dian got one to send Mom, one to keep and one to put in the photo album. I asked Santa for a winter coat. It is getting too cold to be outside in just my rompers. We will soon be on the road again. However, before we leave we get to go to a Teddy Bear Club meeting with Aunt Dian. I just know everyone will make a big fuss over us. Hi to all the Aunties and love to everyone, especially Mom. Simon
