LAG

Hi Everyone,
There are many of you that are asking what are Exclusives, GCC pieces, what POG stands for, etc. so I thought I would do a question and answer for you to help simplify it for you.
Those of you that are subscribers to the newsletter know that we have a question and answer section, and the answers can be found there however, I thought I would post them here on my page to help those that are new to the collection and have not yet treated themselves to a subscription to Lions, Tigers, and Boyds, OH, MY!!!
1) Question:
What does GCC stand for?
Answer:
GCC are the initials for Gift Creations Concepts. This means that they are retailers that belong to a syndicated catalog company, that make catalogues for those specific stores. They have terrific buying power thus treating us to goodies that cannot be found on our regular retailers shelves.
2) Question:
What are the Premiere Editions?
Answer:
These are Resin pieces that are found on QVC. Usually they are on January and August on Collector's days. (watch for the premiere of treats on the 16th of January)
3) Question:
What does NALED mean?
Answer:
NALED stands for National Association of Limited Edition Dealers. Much like the GCC and POG items these can only be found in special NALED stores.
4) Question:
What does POG stand for?
Answer:
It stands for Parade of Gifts. What this means is that the piece can only be found from a 'POG' dealer. They consist of retailers that participate in a catalog that carries these items. There are only about 350 of these type of special retailers, and the pieces are sometimes a bit harder to find, than say a GCC piece. More folks are a bit more familiar with the GCC retailers.
5) Question:
What are Limited Editions?
Answer:
These are pieces both plush and/or resin that have only a specific amount in their edition. For example, on QVC there are many Limited Editions that are plush exclusives (meaning only found on QVC that day) that have been available in 1200, 1800, or 2400 pieces. Also, there have been a couple of Limited Edition plush pieces from specific stores but this is quite rare.
Limited Editions are also found in the Resin line, such as The Flying Lesson, Ewell and Walton the Canadian piece, and Astrid Isinglass just to name a few. There are many more.
6) Question: What is an Exclusive?
Answer: It is a piece that is only available to a specific store or only to QVC or again, only to the members of POG, NALED or GCC stores.
7) Question: What is worth more money a 1E or a Premier Edition?
Answer: The piece that makes your heart smile. On the Secondary Market however, the ones sold on QVC that are Premiere Editions are selling for more money.
If you have more questions please send them to me and I will add them to both Lions, Tigers, and Boyds OH, MY!!! and in the future this list.
Hope this helps,
Laurie Anne
