I am a teacher of third graders in a rural community which consists of a post office and the school. Other than that, all you can see is a vast expanse of cotton fields, tractors and an occasional oil well. Collecting Boyds and being involved with the fun group of Boydsaholics has enabled me to keep my sense of humor, despite 22 years in the classroom! At my age, I need all the help I can get to keep me young at heart.
I have wanted to write a web page for a long time but never did "get it"! Last year I embarked upon teaching a Gifted and Talented class of 3rd - 5th graders. My reason for taking on this task was to introduce them to the Internet and at the same time, making myself learn web-writing so we could add an elementary area to our school's web site. Well...we never got it done. So this year, I made the comittment and we are on our way! My G/T students developed most of it but I did do the Reading Rampage myself. If you would like to drop in and visit us, come right over. We are very proud of our site and our school.
